All the Real Estate Negotiators in Malaysia are required to register themselves with BOVAEP (The Board of Valuers, Appraisers, Estate Agents and Property Managers). Failing to do so, one is liable upon conviction to a fine not exceeding RM300,000 or imprisonment not exceeding three years or both, as spelled out under the Section 30 of the Valuers, Appraisers and Estate Agents Act 1981.

How to become a Real Estate Negotiators?
Anyone who is 18 years old and above is allowed to be certified as a Real Estate Negotiator (REN). However, he must first attend the Negotiator Certification Course (NCC) with approved training providers by the BOVEAP and be attached with a registered firm on a full-time basis. And the agency that they attached with can apply the REN Tag by using the prescribed form together with the letter of employment/engagement and NCC certificate.
