Often their commitment to serve the community\, their choices\, collective committee ego or personal ego\, interpersonal issues\, communication styles\, accountability and transparency of their management culture come under scrutiny. Interestingly\, the Strata Management Act 2013 (SMA) gives very little or almost no assistance on conduct of committee members and the enforcement against such conduct. The key is however to understand the broader concepts of accountability and transparency that are engrained into the SMA. This seminar will focus on how committee members are expected to manage strata schemes\, what sort of disputes can originate from the conduct of committee members or committee decisions and how they can be effectively and fairly resolved. We will discuss the express provisions or the implied hints the Strata Management Act 2013 gives on what values\, qualifications and key attributes are essential for managing strata schemes with first-hand insights into the following issues: Talk Points Expulsion of elected committee member without general meeting;Breach of financial control mechanisms by committee members;Refusal to accept professional advice from property manager;Failure to keep records of committee meetings or resolutions;Acting in breach of duties;Inability to carry out committee duties and yet remaining on record as committee member; andEngaging in divisive rhetorics or promoting disharmony. This seminar is suitable for management committee members\, proprietors of stratified properties\, property managers\, managing agents\, developers\, commissioners of buildings\, enforcement officers and lawyers. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n	\n \n\n	\n	Add to calendar	\n \n	\n\n \n \n \n	Google Calendar\n\n \n	iCalendar\n\n \n	Outlook 365\n\n \n	Outlook Live\n\n \n \n\n \n	\n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n	\n \n\n Leveraging AI Tools for Workplace Efficiency & Productivity	\n\n\n \n	\n RISE: Resilience in Stressful Environments \n\n	\n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Share this on:
